Stromags new friction elements eliminate rust; increase performance at no increase in price.
Stromag is outpacing the demand for increased servomotor brake performance through advances in friction material composition and surface coatings. The rust-free surface treatment also enhances durability, appearance and avoids corrosion-related brake locking.
Modern designs require increasingly smaller drive packages, placing increased demands on the holding brake to produce more torque for its size. New, aggressive surface coatings on Stromag brakes increase friction, allowing the design engineer greater freedom of design to achieve equal performance in smaller size elements. As a bonus, the rust-free brakes are available at no increase in price or premium charge.
Stromag Inc is an ISO 9001 registered design manufacturer of a full line of highly engineered specialty brakes for electric drives and torsional couplings for power transmission. UL Listing is available on some designs. Other certifications are available upon request. Brake models are available from 1.8 OD to 30 OD and static capacities from 1nm to 10,000nm. Headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, Stromag, Inc. is a joint venture with Stromag AG of Germany.
